City of Kawartha lakes protocols: Phase 2

The City has put some protocols in place to keep our kids and community safe. We will not tolerate anyone not abiding by the rules, and will disallow participation in our programs if we find that our skaters or their families are not abiding by the rules.

Some main points:

   - Skaters and guardians must wear masks at all times when they are not on the ice surface.

   - No spectators are allowed. Skaters under the age of 10 are allowed one parent or guardian to enter to assist with equipment. That parent/guardian then must exit the facility and remain in the parking lot. We will allow parents to re-enter in the last 2 minutes of the program to assist again with equipment.

   - No outside food or drink will be allowed into the facility aside from a personal water              bottle.

Please note that this is an old version of the traffic flow map. As of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 no spectators are allowed within the facility.

Want to know more about the processes that will be put in place when your skater gets to the rink? Please see the below health screening questionnaire, and Skate Ontario Waiver. Also, check out the YouTube video that shows the processes.
