When registering your skater for any of our programs, please expect a few additional fees to be added on top of the registration cost. Explanations for each of our fees can be found below.

Skate Canada Fee: This fee is broken down into 4 portions: Registrant Fee - National, Registrant Fee - Sectional, Safe Sport Fee and Injury Benefit. These fees are collected by the WSC and remitted directly to Skate Canada, which provides coverage to skaters from September 1st to August 31 each year. To see the cost breakdown for our 2024/2025 Skate Canada Fee, please head to this link: https://skateontario.org/registrant-fees-2024-2025/

Administration Fee: This fee helps cover the cost of all administrative aspects of the registration process. There are costs associated with the use of Uplifter, as well as the ability to accept credit card payments - which this helps cover.

Fundraising Fee: Parents are charged $80.00 upfront as a fundraising fee. In return, the WSC will provide you $80.00 worth of raffle tickets for the Skate Ontario Promotional Contest. When parents and skaters sell the tickets, they keep the money from sales, meaning that $80.00 can be made back.
Volunteer Fee: The WSC has introduced a $100.00 volunteer fee for the 2024/2025 season in anticipation of our STAR 1-4 Competition, which we will be hosting on February 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2025. This competition will be a great opportunity for our STAR skaters, but it will take many volunteers to be successful.
The $100.00 will be held and not charged until February 28, 2025. If a parent volunteers for a minimum of 4 hours throughout the weekend, the $100.00 will not be charged. If a parent does not volunteer at all, the WSC will charge the $100.00 on February 28, 2025.
