COACHING IS INCLUDED!
Our STAR 1-3 Program is fully coached, meaning that your registration includes scheduled group and private instruction with the Woodville Skating Club coaching team. Families are not required to arrange or pay additional private-lesson fees for coaching delivered during regular program sessions.
STAR 1-3
Best For: Skaters entering or progressing through STAR 1, STAR 2 and STAR 3
STAR 1–3 is a fully coached development program for skaters who have completed the required CanSkate levels and are ready to begin Skate Canada’s STARSkate pathway.
Skaters develop foundational figure skating skills in areas such as skating skills, free skate, ice dance and artistic performance. Programming is designed to prepare skaters for STAR assessments while helping them build confidence, independence and strong technical foundations.
Fully Coached Programming
The program is supported by four NCCP-certified coaches. Skaters will be scheduled for both group and private lessons with members of the coaching team.
Coaching is included in the program fee. Families do not need to arrange or pay separately for private lessons during scheduled STAR 1–3 programming.

The program’s structured delivery model meets and exceeds Skate Canada’s program-delivery standards for STAR 1-5, while allowing coaches to provide individualized instruction within a team environment.
Prerequisite: Skaters must have fully passed all 6 levels of CanSkate to register in our STAR 1-3 program. Placement in this program should be confirmed with the coaching team.
