Best For: Skaters working on STAR 4 and higher

STAR 4+ is a fully coached program for experienced STARSkate athletes continuing their development through Skate Canada’s advanced assessment and competition pathways.

​

Skaters work on increasingly advanced skills in areas such as skating skills, free skate, ice dance and artistic performance. Programming is adapted to each skater’s current level, individual goals, assessment plans and competition objectives.

Fully Coached Programming

The program is supported by three NCCP-certified coaches. Skaters will be scheduled for both group and private lessons with members of the coaching team based on their development needs and goals.

Coaching is included in the program fee. Families do not need to arrange or pay separately for private lessons during scheduled STAR 4+ programming.

A Structured Session

Each session includes:

• Off-ice warm-up

• On-ice warm-up

• Scheduled group and private lesson time

• Independent practice with coaching direction

• Cool-down

The program’s structured delivery model meets and exceeds Skate Canada’s program-delivery standards for STAR 1-5, while allowing coaches to provide individualized instruction within a team environment.

Program Placement: Placement in STAR 4+ is based on the skater’s completed STAR levels, current skating ability, training needs and coach recommendation.
